BESI's school bus upholstery fabric
meets the requirements of the national minimum standard for school bus seating. It is a 42
ounce equivalent in physical properties utilizing jersey knit backing and meets the
requirements of FMVSS 302 - fire retardancy standards, and FMVSS 222 - impact standards,
when used in conjunction with OEM foam. Sewn with # 92 nylon thread using a lock stitch
sew pattern at 6 stitches per inch. All ends are back stitched.
Kevlar® and
Proform/Prevaill® fire block material
Fire block covers passed all of the following burn tests: FMVSS 302, Bag burn test,
Ath-891 (fireblock), Ky. bus spec., and FAR-25-853B (fireblock). Covers are sewn with # 92
bonded kevlar thread using a lock stitch sew pattern at 6 stitches per inch. All ends are
back stitched.
